Operating as an embedded revenue partner—combining business development, sponsor strategy, outreach systems, brand positioning, and growth strategy under one operator.

The name nel blu—Italian for “in the blue”—reflects both the firm’s roots and its future direction. While Nel Blu Group works across industries today, the long-term vision is to become a trusted growth and partnership partner for organizations working in conservation, sustainability, and the blue economy.

Founder, Nel Blu Group

Kat Mikuta brings more than 15 years of experience building revenue, partnerships, and growth strategies for some of the world’s most recognized media organizations, including Bloomberg Media, TIME, CBS, and several venture-backed startups.

Throughout her career, she has launched new business lines, built multimillion-dollar partnership programs, and developed strategic relationships with Fortune 500 brands including Coca-Cola, IKEA, CVS, PayPal, Walmart, Booking.com, Bumble, Oura Ring, FedEx, and General Motors.

At TIME, Kat built the company’s Venture Partnerships division from the ground up, growing it to more than $15 million in revenue in three and a half years. Across her career, she has worked at the intersection of storytelling, partnerships, and revenue strategy.

Outside of her client work, Kat is an avid scuba diver, ocean advocate, and founder of Nel Blu Media, a platform dedicated to exploring the people, innovations, and ideas shaping the future of our oceans.

She currently serves on the associate board of WINGS Women of Discovery.
